Does wattage make a difference when comparing the same lumen output/different wattage of a fluorescent bulb?
If you have a 32w fluorescent bulb rated at 2000 lumen and a 40w fluorescent bulb rated at 2000 lumen, what is the difference? The energy required/used? The actual light emitted?
2000 lumens is 2000 lumens, the only difference can be the temperature, or colouring of the light, whether it is daylight, natural, bright white, or other type. That is a bright bulb, the equivalent of a 150 watt standard bulb, I am guessing? A 60 watt standard bulb runs 800-900 lumens, with the flourescent bulb, equivalent 800 lumens, using 13 watts, just as a comparison. If you have 2 flourescent bulbs with equivalent lumens, and different wattages, there is a difference in efficiency, or one is a "daylight" bulb.
