Can a new lamp cause the circuit breaker to trip?
I just bought a nice new Holtkotter lamp, and ever since plugging it in, I have been getting a power outage due to circucit breaker trip. It doest happen immedately, but maybe a few hours after the lamp is turned on.
Could the lamp really be the problem?
I live in a 1950s duplex if that gives you a hint about the wires in the house. The lamp is plugge in in my livin room with all the rest of my electronics... 51in plasma, speakers, ps3 etc.

It may have a loose wire grounding out. Return it and get a new one.
