help! need help wiring lighitng fixture?
I just bought an ikea spotlight that "requires hardwire installation"
its for my dorm room so I can't exactly bore a hole in the wall. Is there anything I can buy from home depot that has a switch (with dimmer function) that connects to the wires, so that I can plug into an electrical outlet? Thanks!
buy an extention cord ,a single gang box a dimmer switch and cover plate ....make sure the cord is long enough to go from where youwant the spot to where it plugs in cut off the receptical side of the cord attach to spot light find out where the best local for the switch cut cord install box ,switch,cover plug it in and there you have it as long as your connections are correct
